Delete Your Data

PinkSteady (“PinkSteady,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) lets you request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, whether or not you continue to use the PinkSteady app. This page explains how to submit a deletion request, what data is deleted, what is retained, and for how long.
1. Request Deletion In the App
The fastest way to delete your data is directly in PinkSteady on your iPhone:
- Open the PinkSteady app
- Tap Settings
- Tap Advanced Settings
- Tap Delete My Data
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
This permanently deletes your account and all server-side data associated with it. This action cannot be undone.
2. Request Deletion by Email
If you no longer have access to the app or your device, you can request deletion by emailing us from the email address associated with your account:

Use the subject line “Data Deletion Request” and include the email address or account identifier associated with your PinkSteady account. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request.
3. What Gets Deleted
Requesting deletion permanently removes the following from our servers:
- Your account profile and authentication information
- Session summaries (Steadiness Scores, durations, timestamps, and notes)
- HealthKit-derived data stored on our servers
- Caregiver connections and facility links tied to your account
Raw motion sensor data is processed on-device and is never stored on our servers, so there is nothing server-side to delete beyond the derived session summaries above.
4. What We Retain
A limited set of information is retained after deletion:
- Anonymized, aggregated analytics that cannot be tied back to you, used to improve the app.
- HIPAA audit logs, for accounts that were linked to a participating care facility. These logs record who accessed data and when, but do not contain your session scores or health information. They are retained for six years as required by HIPAA.
- Records required by law, such as billing records tied to Apple App Store transactions, which we retain only as long as legally required.
5. How Long It Takes
- In-app deletion: processed immediately.
- Email requests: processed within 30 days of verification.
